Free DVD to the first reply - View from the green room Via @howiescardigan

thanks to hollie from howies, i got my hands on a dvd by SAS (http://www.sas.org.uk/) about water pollution including radioactive particles and gender changer chemicals! having watched it, i feel it is an obligation to pass it on to someone else.

all I ask is when you’ve watched it enough, pass it on too!

First “real” Self Portrait

Sure, Ive done “self portraits” in the past, if by that one means a photograph of myself. but as I became a photographer so i could be behind the camera and not infront of it, i tend to steer clear of them as uch as possible.

My head has been a bit all over the place and I wanted to try and capture it photographically and this is what I came up with. let me know what you think please.

I still love seeing my photographs as prints.

the “digital age” really has changed the way we view media, with so much done online on on-screen. digital photographs are so rarely printed out and its such a shame. to see a photograph in a print is so much more satisfying than looking at it on a screen, no matter how good it looks there. to hold it in your hand, to see the light reflect off the paper (if its gloss of course ;) ) just makes me feel all warm inside.

these photos are for a portfolio update for my interview on tuesday. Now I have to ecide which ones to use, and how many images is too many in a portfolio!

blue moon

http://www.flickr.com/photos/henrymatter/4547505801/ #fb as part of my moon phases project, I have been following the moon quite closely, on friday afternoon, I say the moon out in the daylight. It feels quite different seeing it then. I usually relate the moon to night time, so it felt weird seeing it when it was light. strange thoughts I know, but i thought it looked good, so out the camera came!
